Brennan Boesch's first Topps RC

Thanks to Grand Cards,   for the news of the 1st regular issue Topps RC of Brennan Boesch.

Brennan is redemption card #3 in the 2010 set.

How cool is this card!

Look who's 4th in batting average in the big leagues

It took a while, but now it's official, Detroit Tigers rookie Brennan Boesch is now among the elite of hitters in the big leagues, hitting .346 at the All-Star break, good enough for 4th best. Brennan is also 4th in slugging %, at.593

Brennan trails only teammate Miguel Cabrera in batting average, .346, the Rangers Josh Hamilton, ,346, and the Twins Justin Morneau, .345.

In slugging, Brennan trails Cabrera, .651, Hamilton, .625, and Morneau, .618.

These stats for Brennan are in ONLY 65 games!

Brennan and the All-Star snub

I've come across several articles today regarding Brennan Boesch not being selected to the American League team for the All-Star Game next Tuesday.

In today's first post I discussed my disappointment in Brennan not being at least on the MLB Final Vote, and that seems to be the one prevailing theme.

On today's broadcast of the Tigers 12-9 win over the Baltimore Orioles, both play by play man Mario Impemba, and color man Rod Allen were both astonished that Brennan wasn't on the Final Vote.

I hope that Brennan, who's from the L.A. area, gets there somehow, maybe in the HR Derby. I voted 25 times for Brennan as a write-in for the event.
